Attwood Tsunami 1200 GPH Long Intake Ballast Pump (168lbs/min)

The internal cartridge is easily replaceable, and inexpensive, making this pump easy to repair and cheap to own, unlike expensive reversible pumps.The housing is made of rugged glass and mineral filled polymer to withstand the impacts that can result for repeated impacts with other boat’s wakes and rough water and is resistant to the oil and fuel typically found in a boat’s bilge compartment.

Additionally, the motor on the Attwood Tsunami 1200GPH is completely sealed, making it a safe choice for use around fuel vapors.The compact size of the T1200 wakeboard ballast pump makes it incredibly flexible from an installation standpoint, and no other similarly sized pump can compare to its output.

Applications

For the most part this pump is best suited for use as a drain pump in an automated ballast system due to the proprietary thread pattern used on its inlet. Here are some examples:

Straight Line Ballast Bags:
This pump is best suited for use as a drain pump using our Attwood Drain Pump adapter to utilize the Flow-RIte fitting system. For the fill pump, we recommend using our 1″ NPT Attwood Tsunami Pump which is compatible with any standard 1″ NPT intake hardware.

Fly High Ballast Bags:
This pump is best suited for use as a drain pump using our Attwood Drain Pump adapter to utilize the Flow-RIte fitting system.For the fill pump, we recommend using our 1″ NPT Attwood Tsunami Pump which is compatible with any standard 1″ NPT intake hardware.

Build Your Own Tsunami:
We have a lot of customers use this pump to build their own portable ballast pump to fill and drain bags. Just add some hose, fittings, wire and cigarette lighter adapter, and you’re ready to go.

This is the raw component pump designed for use in an automated ballast system. The hose barb adapter is NOT included, but is available separately for use on the inlet of the pump to help facilitate installation (see recommended accessories). The wiring connection is 14″ long, and consists of a pair of 16AWG stranded wires.

The threaded inlet extending off the bottom of the pump can be cut to length using a standard hand saw to increase installation options.

NOTE: This pump uses a proprietary 1-1/8″ thread pattern that is not found in any other industry. Because of that, it can be difficult to make connections to standard plumbing parts if you do not use either Fly High’s Pro X Series W747 Fitting or the Attwood Hose barb adapter elbow (see recommended accessories for both) we offer.
