2020 Phase 5 Chip Surf Foil Package

Following the popular Gizmo foil Package introduced last year, Phase 5 wanted to create the next foil package for the advanced rider to progress to and came out with the Chip foil package.

As your foil skill level progresses you’ll find that a larger board is rendered useless since you’ll be riding the foil with the board completely out of the water. By shrinking the platform size, you can crank turns way harder without fear of digging the board in. The 2020 Phase 5 Chip gives you the sensation of flying across the water without seeing the nose of the board underneath you, which is pretty thrilling.

The Phase 5 design team shaped the Chip with turned down rails, which helps the board stay up out of the water on the foil. This is a unique feature found only on the Chip for 2020 and goes hand in hand with its smaller surface area. The team at Phase 5 also equipped the Chip with foot straps to give the rider a stronger connection to the board for even more responsive turns. If you want a more freeform riding experience the straps can be removed and the P5 Techno Grip Traction V2 alone gives a very tactile connection to the board.

The complete Chip Board + Foil package comes with the new Phase 5 Nova Foil from Ride Engine. This package includes the larger 760 Front Wing for increased overall lift and stability. That means this foil is a great option for any rider weight and generates lift at slower speeds for effortless foiling.

Additionally, the 760 Front Wing delivers even more side-to-side stability, while still offering plenty of maneuverability for skilled riders to lay the foil over and carve some turns. Coupled with The Chip Foilboard, the included 24″ mast is definitely the right combo, and will give the advanced riders this package is designed for more clearance to fly and pump with the board over two feet out of the water.

Neoprene covers for the wing and stabilizer are included to protect your new foil package, the boat, and passengers from accidental contact.
