LOW ASPECT – PROGRESSION
The S-Types are the low-aspect-ratio wings of our foil collection. Low aspect wings have less wing span and more chord length, making them the most stable foils of all.

The S-Type is all about easy take off, easy flight and easy maneuvers – the easiest foil ever.

TAIL WINGS:

> Pro 180 – If you’re taking the S-Type 1500 into waves or to ride the wake, the Pro 180 will unlock performance mode and the S-Type’s maximum maneuverability.

> Pro 220 – For riders looking to unlock a bit more performance from the S-Type, the Pro 220 is a great all-rounder, offering stability and a nice tracking feel. Its generous surface area will encourage the progressing rider with a nice easy ride, particularly during transitions when a larger tail wing helps to keep the board stable and flying through the air.

> Freeride 330 – The Freeride 330’s raised wing tips, larger surface area and extremely stiff shape combine to offer maximum stability, even at lower speeds.Experience easy take-off and a foil that helps you maintain flight as you progress through transitions: foiling just became as easy as possible.

UNIVRSAL CONNECT SYSTEM – UCS is an open, simplified foil connection system designed to be a standard shared by many foil brands.

From pro riders who wish to fine tune wing angles to every day foilers who just want parts to fit each other, a UCS foil just works right out of the box. Strong and light for freestyle, streamlined and extremely stiff for racing, compatible with thick or thin wings, UCS also offers geometry options that work for all foiling disciplines, from wing to windsurf. All in an elegant and simple-to-use system.

How do the wings connect?

Slide on the wings and tighten all the bolts that are conveniently placed on the same side. Both front and tail wings use the same connection, with large, flat mating surfaces that guarantee maximum strength and stiffness.

A thin carbon cover wraps around the top of the saddle to guarantee a smooth, streamlined nose no matter the front wings shape, size and thickness. No more steps or seamlines to disturb the flow of water.

How does the mast connect?

Two pairs of bolts placed side by side creates an innovative mast-fuselage connection that is simple, strong and incredibly stiff. A subtle mating V-shape keeps it all aligned under pressure.

> Can UCS wings be used on previous generation Starboard foils?

No, but we offer a ‘hybrid’ fuselage at a special rate for those who are upgrading. This hybrid fuselage lets you attach UCS wings to the preceding generations of Starboard Foil masts. Available in 66cm, 99cm and 109cm.
