The Big Boy 23

This is a wolf in sheeps clothing. The dark horse, charlatan, imposter. You think youre looking at a funboard? Think again. This is a funboard on steroids. This is Jekyll and Hyde.

On paper its a funboard and if youre looking to catch green waves and do some turns, the width, volume and length means this board will do it all day long its perfect for you. But in the hands of a seasoned surfer itll come alive. Think of it as a shortboard with a little extra width in the nose but all the performance features to surf hard and fast. One customer genuinely told us I was smiling so much I got sunburnt teeth!.

For any big guy rippers out there, longboarders wanting a shorter board or intermediates, look no further.

The Technology

Torq Epoxy Composite offers performance shapes in our state-of-the-art epoxy layup. These boards have the best balance of Lightweight versus Durability. Using our own unique lamination process, we are able to use a very strong fiberglass lay-up of 6oz and 4oz combined in 3 layered deck and 2 layered base (with a 4 layered rail lap) with a high density EPS foam, but still achieve a board weight that matches a lightweight fiberglass lay-up.

The result is light but very strong board, with good flex characteristics and as with all Torq’s excellent value for money.

TEC MID-LENGTH

The Torq TEC mid-lengths feature carbon stringer to the deck and bottom for a new level of torsional strength. Combined with 6+6+4oz deck and 6+4oz base, these boards are incredibly strong, light and responsive.
